Carpet Cleaning Hong Kong — Professional Deep Clean, Stain Removal & Rug Restoration
Carpet cleaning in Hong Kong is what we do, and we have been doing it for 30 years. We clean carpets and rugs for homes, offices and shops across the city. That covers deep carpet cleaning, steam cleaning, dry cleaning, hand-washed rugs, stain and pet odour treatment, and repairs when a rug needs more than a wash.
Prices run from HK$8 to HK$50 per square foot, depending on the carpet and the job. Pickup and drop-off are free, and same-day delivery is available where scheduling allows. We work across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories, so wherever you are in the city, we can come to you or collect your carpet.
This website is newer than our business. The experience behind it is not.
Not sure what you need? Send us a photo and we will tell you what we would do and what it costs.
Professional Carpet Cleaning Hong Kong
A professional carpet cleaner does more than run a machine over the floor. The job starts with looking at the carpet: what it is made of, how dirty it is, whether the colours are stable, and what has been spilled on it. That decides how we clean it. Getting that decision right matters more than any piece of equipment. Here is what we offer, and when each service makes sense.
Deep Carpet Cleaning for Homes and Offices
Deep carpet cleaning removes the dirt that sits below the surface, where a vacuum cannot reach. It usually means thorough vacuuming first, treating stained or greasy patches, then cleaning and rinsing the fibres so the loosened dirt leaves the carpet instead of moving around in it.
It is the right choice when your carpet looks dull even after vacuuming, feels sticky, smells stale, or has not been professionally cleaned for a year or more. Cleaning a carpet regularly is usually less work, and less cost, than rescuing one that has been left for years.
Carpet Steam Cleaning (Hot Water Extraction)
Carpet steam cleaning, more accurately called hot water extraction, sprays hot water and a cleaning solution into the carpet and then pulls the water and dirt back out with strong suction. It is what most people mean when they ask for "steam cleaning", and it works well on many synthetic carpets and sturdy wool carpets in good condition.
The trade-off is moisture. The carpet needs time to dry, and in Hong Kong's humid weather that can take longer than you would expect. That is why we check the fibre and backing first. On delicate carpets, we may choose a lower-moisture method instead.
Dry Carpet Cleaning for Delicate Fibres
Dry carpet cleaning, also called low-moisture cleaning, uses very little water. A cleaning compound is worked into the pile to lift the dirt, and then it is vacuumed out. Because the carpet stays nearly dry, it can go back into use quickly. That suits offices and shops that cannot close for a day.
It also helps with fibres that do not like being soaked. It will not always match extraction on heavy, deep-seated soiling, and we will tell you if that applies to your carpet.
Carpet Washing and Shampooing
Carpet washing means cleaning with water and detergent, either in place or off-site after we collect the carpet. You may see it called carpet washing or carpet laundry; the idea is the same. Carpet shampooing is an older version, where a foaming shampoo is worked in and then removed. Some customers still ask for it by name, and where it suits the carpet, we can do it.
Off-site washing is usually the better route for loose carpets and rugs. They can be cleaned properly on both sides and rinsed thoroughly, which is hard to do on a floor.
On-Site Cleaning or Free Pickup?
On-site carpet cleaning, where we bring the equipment to you, is the only option for fitted carpet. It also works for large pieces you would rather not move.
Free pickup is better for area rugs, loose carpets, silk and antique pieces, and anything that needs repair. We collect it, clean it off-site, and bring it back to your door. Tell us the carpet type and size, and we will say which we would recommend.

Steam, Dry or Hand Wash: Which Carpet Cleaning Method Is Right?
Steam cleaning is not always better than dry cleaning, and dry cleaning is not always safer. The right method depends on the fibre, the dye, how dirty the carpet is, and how quickly you need it back.
| Method | Best for | Watch out for | Drying |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hot water extraction (steam) | Fitted carpet, synthetic and sturdy wool carpet, heavily soiled areas | Too much water on delicate or backed carpets | Slower, especially in humid weather |
| Dry or low-moisture | Offices and shops, carpets that must be used quickly | May not lift deep, heavy soiling as well | Fast |
| Hand wash (off-site) | Persian, oriental, silk, antique and hand-knotted rugs | Needs careful colour testing and takes longer | Depends on size and thickness |
| Machine wash (off-site) | Loose carpets and mats | Not suitable for fitted carpet | Depends on the carpet |

Rug Cleaning in Hong Kong: Persian, Oriental, Silk and Antique
A rug is not a big doormat. A hand-knotted Persian rug can be decades old, made of wool or silk, and dyed in ways that behave differently from modern carpet. Professional rug cleaners in Hong Kong should treat them that way: look first, test, then choose the gentlest method that works. Rug cleaning has been a large part of our work over 30 years.
Silk Carpet Cleaning
Silk carpet cleaning takes more care than wool. Silk is fine and can lose its sheen or change colour if it is cleaned too roughly or dried badly. Before we clean a silk carpet, we check its condition, test the dyes, and choose a low-agitation method.
If a silk rug is very old or already damaged, we will tell you what cleaning can realistically improve and what it cannot.
Persian and Oriental Rug Cleaning
Persian and oriental rugs are usually hand-woven from wool, silk or a mix of both. Dust settles deep in the pile, often at the base of the knots. A hand wash, done off-site, reaches that dirt without the rough treatment a machine would give.
We check the colours first, wash by hand, rinse thoroughly, and let the rug dry properly before it comes home.
Antique and Hand-Knotted Rug Care
Antique and fine carpet cleaning is mostly about restraint. An old rug may have weak foundation threads, worn patches, or dyes that have never been washed. Our job is to clean it without making any of that worse.
We look at it with you, explain the risks plainly, and only go ahead if you are comfortable. Sometimes the honest answer is a gentle clean and a repair, not a full wash.
Carpet Repair, Fringe Repair and Colour Restoration
Some rugs need more than cleaning. Frayed edges, loose fringe, small holes and faded areas can often be dealt with in the same visit as the wash, so the rug is not handled twice. That includes oriental rug repair and colour restoration where the dye has faded or been damaged.
For carpet cleaning and restoration together, send a photo of the damage and we will tell you what is fixable. You can also read more on our carpet repair and rug cleaning.

Stain, Pet Urine and Odour Removal
Most stains come out if they are treated correctly and early. Some do not, and it is better to know that before you pay. Here is how we approach the common ones.
Pet Urine and Odour Removal
Pet urine smell can usually be reduced a lot, and often removed, but it depends on how long it has been there and how deep it went. Fresh urine sits mostly in the fibres. Old urine can soak through to the backing and underlay, and surface cleaning alone will not reach it.
For a pet-stained carpet, we find where the smell is coming from, treat the area, and tell you honestly if the odour is likely to come back. Odour removal from carpet is not always a one-visit job, and we will say so if that is the case for yours.
Wine, Coffee and Oil Stains
Wine, coffee, tea, oil and grease each behave differently. Until we have seen the stain, blot it with a clean cloth instead of rubbing, which pushes it deeper. Avoid strong household cleaners. Some will set the stain or change the colour of the carpet.
Stain removal depends on the fibre, the age of the stain and what caused it. We will always try, and we will be straight about the result. We cannot guarantee that every mark will disappear.
Our Carpet & Rug Cleaning Portfolio

Commercial and Office Carpet Cleaning in Hong Kong
Commercial carpet cleaning is about getting the job done without disrupting the business. Staff and visitors notice a dirty carpet in an office, showroom or reception area straight away, and heavy foot traffic means dirt builds up faster than at home.
We clean office and corporate carpets across Hong Kong, and we can discuss timing around your opening hours. Quotes are based on floor area, carpet type and condition. You can read more on our commercial carpet cleaning page.
Offices and Corporate Carpets
For office carpet cleaning, tell us the floor area, whether it is fitted carpet or carpet tiles, and when the space is empty. Dry or low-moisture cleaning suits offices that need the floor back quickly. Extraction suits deeper cleaning where there is time.
If you want cleaning on a regular schedule, tell us how busy the floor is and we can suggest how often it is worth doing. [VERIFY: recurring contracts]
Hotel and Restaurant Carpets and Floor Mats
Hotels, restaurants and clubs have carpets that deal with food, drinks, grease and constant foot traffic. Entrance mats take the worst of it. Floor mat cleaning and mat washing are related jobs, and we can wash mats along with the carpet or on their own. [VERIFY: sectors served]
Residential and End-of-Tenancy Carpet Cleaning
For homes, we clean bedroom and living-room carpets, stairs, and area rugs of every size. A one-time carpet cleaning is fine. You do not need a contract.
Moving out? End-of-tenancy carpet cleaning is a common request because many landlords expect the carpets to be handed back clean. Check your tenancy agreement, since some specify professional cleaning, and keep the receipt. Tell us your handover date when you contact us so we can plan around it.
How often should a home carpet be cleaned? A common rule of thumb is every 6 to 12 months, and more often with pets, young children or heavy foot traffic.
Carpet Cleaning Prices in Hong Kong
Our carpet cleaning price in Hong Kong ranges from HK$8 to HK$50 per square foot. That is a wide range because carpets are very different, and we would rather explain why than hide it.
What Affects the Price per Square Foot
Where your job falls in that range depends on:
- Fibre: synthetic, wool, silk, or an antique piece.
- Condition: how dirty it is and how long since the last clean.
- Stains and odours: pet urine and old stains take more work.
- Repairs: fringe, edges, holes or colour restoration.
- Method: a hand wash takes far more time than a machine clean.
- Size and access: the size of the carpet and how easily we can reach it.
To estimate your size, multiply the length by the width in feet. A rug that is 6 ft by 9 ft is 54 square feet. Multiply by the rate we quote to see the likely total.
We do not give a fixed price without seeing the carpet, because two carpets of the same size can need very different work. That is why we quote from photos or a quick inspection first.
Send a Photo for a Quote
Here is what helps us give you a price:
- A photo of the whole carpet, and a close-up of any stains or damage.
- Whether it is fitted carpet or a loose rug, and the fibre if you know it.
- The approximate size.
- Your area of Hong Kong and when you need it back.
Send this on WhatsApp and we will reply with a price and a time. Your quote will list what the price includes, so there are no surprises.
Free Pickup, Delivery and Same-Day Carpet Cleaning
Pickup and drop-off are free. We collect your carpet from your door, clean it, and bring it back. Same-day delivery is available where scheduling allows.
Here is how it works:
-
1
You send photos and measurements by WhatsApp or phone.
-
2
We confirm the price and a pickup time.
-
3
We collect the carpet, free of charge.
-
4
We clean it with the method that suits the fibre.
-
5
We deliver it back to your address, free of charge.
Same-Day Carpet Cleaning
Same-day carpet cleaning depends on the carpet and how full the day is. It is not possible for every job. A large hand-washed rug, for example, needs proper drying time. Tell us your deadline when you message us and we will say honestly whether we can meet it. If same-day does not fit, we will offer the next available day.
Drying Time
Drying time varies with the method, the thickness of the carpet and the weather. Hong Kong's humid months slow it down. Once your carpet is back, open the windows, run the air-conditioning or a dehumidifier, and keep furniture off any damp areas until it is fully dry.
Carpet Cleaning Near You: Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories
We cover all areas of Hong Kong, from Central to Sai Kung and the Islands. If you have been searching for carpet cleaning near me or carpet cleaning HK, the answer is simple: we either come to you or collect from you, wherever you are.
Hong Kong Island
We serve Central & Western, Wan Chai, Eastern and Southern districts, including Happy Valley. Many buildings here have lift booking or loading rules, so tell us about them when you book and we will plan the timing around them.
Kowloon
We serve Yau Tsim Mong, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon City, Wong Tai Sin and Kwun Tong. The mix here is older residential blocks, shops and busy business districts. Office cleaning and home rug jobs are equally welcome.
New Territories
We serve Kwai Tsing, Tsuen Wan, Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, North, Tai Po, Sha Tin, Sai Kung and the Islands. Homes here often have more floor space and larger rugs, so per-square-foot pricing and free pickup can matter more. For the Islands and more remote areas, tell us your location when you message and we will confirm timing.
Carpet Cleaners With 35 Years' Experience in Hong Kong
We have been cleaning carpets in Hong Kong for 30 years. This website is newer than the business, so you will not find 30 years of reviews on this page. What you will find is a plain description of how we work, so you can judge for yourself.
In our experience, most carpet problems come from rushing: the wrong method, too much water, or a harsh product. Rarely is it the dirt itself. That is why we start by looking, not by cleaning. As a carpet cleaning company, we would rather spend ten minutes on inspection than an hour fixing a mistake.
Our Cleaning Process, Step by Step
-
1Inspect the carpet for fibre, colour stability, wear, stains and odours.
-
2Explain and quote: the method we suggest, the price, and the timing.
-
3Remove dry soil by thorough vacuuming or dusting.
-
4Treat stains and problem areas.
-
5Clean with the chosen method: extraction, dry cleaning, or hand wash.
-
6Rinse and dry properly.
-
7Check the result and return the carpet to you.
What We Assess Before We Quote
- The fibre: wool, silk, synthetic or a blend.
- Colour stability: whether the dyes are likely to run.
- Wear and damage: thin patches, loose fringe, weak edges.
- Stains and odours: type, age and depth.
- Size and backing.
- Access and timing.
We will not promise what we cannot deliver. If a stain is permanent or a rug is too fragile to wash, we will say so before we start.

Frequently Asked Questions — Carpet Cleaning Hong Kong
Carpet cleaning with us costs HK$8 to HK$50 per square foot. The price depends on the fibre, condition, stains, and whether the carpet is cleaned on-site or off-site. Send a photo and we will quote before we start.
Once every 6 to 12 months is a sensible rule for most homes. Clean more often if you have pets, young children or heavy foot traffic. Offices depend on how busy the floor is, and entrances and corridors get dirty first.
Neither is better in every case. Steam cleaning is stronger on deep soil, while dry cleaning is faster and uses very little water. We choose after inspecting the carpet.
It depends on the method, the thickness of the carpet and the weather. Dry cleaning leaves a carpet nearly dry. Steam-cleaned carpet takes longer, and humid days slow it further. We will give you a realistic time for your carpet.
Often, yes, but it depends on how old the stain is and how far it soaked in. Fresh urine is easier. Old urine that has reached the backing may take more than one treatment. We will tell you honestly what to expect.
Carefully, and usually by hand. We inspect the rug, test the dyes, wash gently off-site, rinse well and dry it properly. Silk and antique pieces get extra checks first.
Same-day delivery is available where scheduling allows. Tell us your deadline when you message us, and we will say whether it is possible or offer the next available day.
